About Foodies of Jackson

Our mission is to create a community and culture that supports the restaurants, food trucks, cafés, bakeries, markets, grocery finds, home kitchens, hidden gems, and the PEOPLE who make West Tennessee worth discovering.

Our purpose is to strengthen our community through discovery by connecting people, places, and stories through food.

Whether you’re searching for your next favorite restaurant, sharing a family recipe, discovering a hidden gem, celebrating a local business, or simply looking for somewhere new to eat, there’s a place for you at the table.

One of the things that makes Foodies of Jackson unique is our commitment to telling the stories behind our local food community. Through our #StoryBehindThePlate and #StoryBehindTheDrink series, we introduce you to the owners, families, cooks, servers, recipes, history, and culture behind the businesses that feed our community. Because sometimes you know what was on the plate. Someone else knows the person who made it. And another person knows the story of why they started.

Along the way, we also celebrate new discoveries through #JacksoniansTryThis, inspire one another with #WhatWeEatinToday, share favorite family dishes through #FoodiesRecipes, and occasionally travel beyond West Tennessee with #FoodiesTravel to explore the food traditions of other communities.

We believe food is personal. What one person loves, another person may not, and that’s okay. This community isn’t built around rankings or tearing down local businesses. It’s built around curiosity, conversation, encouragement, and genuine support.

We chose the BELLA+CANVAS 3001 Unisex Tee, made with 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton. It’s lightweight, incredibly soft, and has that comfortable, lived in feel you’ll actually want to wear, not the stiff, heavy feel of a typical promotional T-shirt.

A little note about Soft Cream: This color is warmer in person than it may appear on your screen. Think vanilla cream, not off-white. Because phone and monitor settings can change how colors appear, your screen may show the shirt lighter than its actual color.

This isn’t about selling T-shirts.

A portion of the proceeds from every Foodies of Jackson shirt will be set aside to support local charities and organizations serving our community.

Our first giving partnership is with RIFA Jackson. RIFA serves our community through multiple hunger-relief ministries, including its Soup Kitchen, Snack Backpack program, Senior Staples, Community Outreach, Food Bank, and more. Foodies of Jackson contributions will be given as a general donation so RIFA can direct those funds where they’re needed most at that time.
